End Crowd (“we” or “us”) is an online community that believes in freedom for everyone. We work with some of the world’s best organizations to define specific projects that address slavery across the globe. We bring in the crowd (you!) to support those projects and enable our partners do their good work. On End Crowd, you can learn, give, and take action, all in the name of ending modern slavery.

We’re mindful that individuals using our platform will share information with us as they use our website and services.  We want to be clear about how we use and protect information collected on www.endcrowd.org (“Site”) because your privacy is important to us.  For that reason, we have developed this Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) to help the user understand what personal information is collected and how this information is used.

Your ENDcrowd login and password

In addition, in order to create a campaign, donate to a campaign, or perform other similar functions, you may need to provide information such as:

Legal name or business name

Valid government-issued ID (if an individual)

Google Analytics is a tool that helps us analyze how users use the Site. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information, but this only includes the IP address assigned to you on the date you visit the Site, not any personally identifying information. Although Google Analytics plants a persistent cookie on your web browser to identify you as a unique user the next time you visit the Site, the cookie cannot be used by anyone but Google. how the information is used

Personal Information is information that personally identifies you or another person. By way of example, we may use your provided personal information for the following purposes:

When you register or sign in

To identify you when using your End Crowd account

To respond to your inquiries, requests, or complaints

To provide you with services (including payment processing)

To contact you/send you information (see Email section below for details)

Administer your End Crowd account

Analyze user use of the Site and services

Verify activity as we deem necessary

Send you a newsletter or other promotional communications (from which you may unsubscribe)

Conduct research and analyze data to improve our service or customize our communications with you

Other purposes that may require use of your personal information (we may disclose these purposes to you upon request of information)

When you create an End Crowd account, you will need to create a username. (If you do not want to be identified by your name, choose an anonymous username.) The following information from this End Crowd account may be publicly displayed:

Your account name and the date it was created

Any information you choose to add to your profile, including pictures

Your activity using the account name, including comments you post on the Site, fundraisers you create, donations you have made, etc.

End Crowd will NOT publicly display the following personal information:

Credit card/payment information

Your End Crowd password

Your IP address

Your phone number

Emails or other communication you send to End Crowd

End Crowd will not share your personal information to most third-party services. The primary exception to this is companies that work with End Crowd to supply services like payment processing. Your credit card/payment information will never be shared with campaign creators or other Site users. It will only be used by payment processing third parties to complete your payment transactions.

Your account name, email address connected to your End Crowd account, and the amount you donate to a campaign will be provided to the campaign creators. They will not receive your payment/credit card information.

End Crowd reserves the right to disclose personal information as required by law (e.g., to comply with reporting requirements, a subpoena, or similar legal process), in connection with an investigation of fraud, intellectual property infringement, piracy, or other unlawful activity, or as we believe reasonably necessary to protect or enforce our rights or to protect your safety or the safety of others.

We will not post anything to your social media or other third-party accounts without your permission.

End Crowd will not sell your personal information to third parties.

We try to keep emails to a minimum and give you the ability to opt out where we can. By way of example, we may email you for the following reasons:

Changes to Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, or other End Crowd services

Information regarding your transactions with End Crowd (including assistance you may request)

Newsletters (of which you may unsubscribe)

Updates on the projects to which you have donated

Updates on the fundraisers you have either created or supported

Information about new projects that may be of interest to you

Except where otherwise expressly indicated herein or on the Site, this Privacy Policy applies only to information collected on the Site and does not apply to information collected through any third-party services outside of the Site.  You should read the privacy policies of each such site you visit to determine what information that site may be collecting about you and how that site may use your information.

This Privacy Policy makes no provision for people under the age of 18 using this Site, since they are not permitted to use End Crowd services unsupervised.

You may modify and delete certain personal information by logging in and changing your account information. If you wish to have us remove personal information from our Site, contact us at info@endcrowd.org In certain circumstances End Crowd may not be able to oblige, but we will inform you via email as to what information cannot be removed and why.
